At Modesta, we carefully prepare every order to ensure your furniture arrives safely, beautifully, and ready to become part of your home.
Please read the following shipping and delivery policy before placing your order.
Delivery Coverage
Modesta delivers to all governorates across Egypt.
Our products are mainly manufactured and dispatched from Damietta, with additional distribution support from Cairo, depending on the order and delivery location.
Order Preparation Time
Ready-made products usually require up to 3 business days to be prepared for shipping.
Custom-made or made-to-order products require a minimum of 14 business days before they are ready for shipping. The exact preparation time may vary depending on the product design, size, materials, finishing details, and production schedule.
For custom orders, the estimated preparation and delivery timeline will be confirmed with the customer before production begins.
Delivery Time
Once your order is ready for shipping, delivery usually takes from 3 to 8 business days, depending on your location, product size, courier schedule, and delivery conditions.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary during peak seasons, public holidays, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
Shipping Fees
Shipping is not free.
The delivery fee is calculated based on the customer’s location, product size, product weight, and delivery requirements. The shipping cost will be shown to the customer during the order process before confirming the purchase.
Delivery Method
Modesta works with trusted external shipping and delivery companies to deliver orders across Egypt.
As we rely on third-party delivery providers, delivery timing may be affected by courier availability, traffic, location accessibility, or other external conditions.
Installation Service
Some products may require installation.
If installation is needed, Modesta can provide installation service at an additional cost. The installation fee depends on the product type, installation requirements, and delivery location.
Installation is not included in the standard shipping fee unless clearly stated or agreed upon before confirming the order.
Floor Delivery & Carrying Items Upstairs
Standard delivery does not include carrying large or heavy furniture items to a specific floor, apartment level, or room inside the property.
If the product needs to be carried upstairs, moved through stairs, or handled in a special way due to elevator limitations or building access, additional fees may apply. These fees are determined based on the situation, product size, and delivery location.
The customer is responsible for making sure that the product can fit through doors, elevators, staircases, and entryways before placing the order.
Customer Inspection Upon Delivery
The customer must inspect the product carefully at the time of delivery.
Receiving the product and completing the delivery process means that the customer confirms the product has been received in good visible condition, with no apparent damage or visible defects.
If there is any visible damage, a missing part, or a delivery issue, the customer must report it immediately at the time of delivery before the courier leaves.
Claims related to visible damage or delivery issues may not be accepted after the product has been received and confirmed by the customer.
Delivery Schedule
Deliveries are made during business days between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
The delivery company or representative may contact the customer before delivery to confirm the address, timing, and delivery details.
Delays
In case of any expected delay in production, preparation, or delivery, Modesta will notify the customer as soon as possible.
The next steps will be discussed with the customer based on the order status, reason for delay, and customer preference.
Changing the Delivery Address
The customer may request to change the delivery address before being contacted by the delivery representative.
If the delivery representative has already contacted the customer or the shipment has already been dispatched, changing the delivery address may result in additional fees depending on the new location and delivery conditions.
Payment Before Delivery
Payment terms may vary depending on the product.
For some products, the customer may pay a deposit in advance and complete the remaining payment upon delivery.
For other products, especially selected items or custom-made orders, full payment may be required before production or delivery.
The required payment method and amount will be confirmed with the customer before the order is completed.
Custom Orders
Custom-made products may have different preparation, payment, and delivery terms from ready-made products.
All important details, including dimensions, materials, colors, finishes, production time, delivery time, and payment terms, will be confirmed with the customer before production begins.
